Cream jumper - can it be saved from colour running in machine?

My DH in his infinite wisdom put new blue jeans in a wash with various light bits - including a brand new cream jumper of DDs which is now tinged with blue patches.
It was on a 40 degree synthetic wash then tumble dried low. 100% cotton.
Can I do something to save it?

I've not tried it but you can buy colour run remover. Supermarket or Wilko should have it. I think it's Dr Beckmann's or something like that.

You could try soaking it in non-chlorine bleach. I can't guarantee what the result would be like.
