After a mere 8 months of ownership, I am absurdly happy to have discovered this morning that one of my appliances has a cable hideaway area.

There it sits, cable tucked neatly where the manufacturers intended.

How could I not have seen this? Traily wires really annoy me, and I did try to tidy it up with a twisty bag tie (worked....for three minutes).

I'm going to look around and see what other blindingly obvious little frills my domestic kit has up it's sleeve.

I am (a) thick and (b) concerned that it speaks volumes about my quality of life, being as delighted as I am about this discovery

My toaster was two yars old before I discovered there was a place store the excess cable. I then went looking at all the other appliances to see if any others had this wonderful feature but was disapponted to find none had it. This is now a requirement for any future applnce purchases

Don't - I also did a little happy dance when I realise there was a little concealed flip-up compartment in the passenger door of my car.
