Decluttering - what to do with my dvd and game collection?

I'm slowly trying to declutter my very cluttered house. I have alot of pc games, console games, dvds and blu rays taking up a whole bookcase. I can't bring myself to throw any away even though alot of the games I might not play again. Would it be a good idea to put the games and movie disks into some of those cd/ dvd wallets and recycle the plastic cases (assuming that's possible?)? And just keep the my favourites in their cases. Has anyone used them for storing games, movies or music cds - do they scratch or damage the, disk at all? Has anyone else done this and regretted it later? Thanks for reading

Could you sell the games?

I chucked the majority of my DVD cases (except special editions) and put the discs in a book full of wallets. Helped enormously.
Games you could sell. Actually, dvds and bluerays too, if you won't watch them again.I
If you Google 'games storage' loads of good ideas pop up, Pinterest is awash!

Thanks for replies. Alot of the games are pc games and quite a few of those that you activate on steam with a code so can't be sold. Which makes no sense that I'm keeping as I don't need the disk to play once it's been installed and activated on steam. But I can't bring myself to throw them away. The other games that I'm unlikely to play again they only go for a couple of pounds on ebay, and with postage it makes it not worth it.

elQuintoConyo do the wallets protect your dvds okay? No scratches or anything getting them in and out of case or anything?

We bought a few of those black books with cd wallets for pages for this kind of thing. We have 4 of them which holds hundreds of disks

We did this a few years ago, put all dvds into a big folder with special plastic wallets to save on storage space. Originally we kept the cases in the loft incase we wanted to sell them on later. I’m thinking of putting the cases in the recycling now as secondhand dvds only fetch £1. This kind of folder: Amazon protects them just as good as a case.

I did this with my dvds too, i also bought a ringbinder to put the paper from the cases into. It's easier to browse through your films!
