Cleaner leaving gloves on side used to clean toilet

Trialled a new cleaner today . They did great job in bathroom including cleaning toilet by hand with gloves on , i then noticed they had brought gloves downstairs and put on kitchen counter , I asked if they were same gloves used in toilet ( they were ) they then moved them to floor
They were only doing bathrooms for me so once gone I anti bac the kitchen side , anti bac floor and ran steam cleaner over quickly . Is this enough to kill any potential germs from gloves ? I do suffer with ocd so know I am sometimes a bit ott , had gloves just been used in Bath to clean and not physically to get limescale from inside the loo , I would of been a bit less paranoid . Is anti bac both surfaces enough ( kitchen counter I have done twice )

Again?

JKScot4 · 14/02/2020 19:27

OP
your identical thread was removed and you had countless replies telling you to calm down. What do you hope to achieve?
Calm down and believe people that you are being ott and there’s no need for repeated cleaning.

I couldn’t read the replies as it was removed .

By the time she'd finished the loo, the gloves would have been covered with whatever cleaner she was using, so I don't think you have any reason to worry at all. I doubt I'd have given more than a token wipe, if that.

You need to make an apt with your gp and get your anxiety seen to

MrMeSeeks · 14/02/2020 19:34

Please see your gp, this is no way to live op, truly.

Easilyanxious · 14/02/2020 19:37

I am seeing seeing gp thanks ,and it was purely as used in the toilet just used in bathroom would if been fine . I am happy that I have cleaned up by spraying anti bac and sides and floor are ok , and reminding myself I have teenage boys who probably never wash there hands after the toilet anyway and seem to live in the kitchen fridge

Therefore gloves are probably less of an issue ( and don’t eat me out of house and home )

Ah, @Easilyanxious, there's no risk. Got any plans tonight?

AmazingGreats · 14/02/2020 19:44

This sounds like an irrational fear of germs? Please speak to a professional.

Easilyanxious · 14/02/2020 19:46

No plans for tonight no
Thinking of maybe ordering a take away closest I will get to a valentines meal , plus weather is pretty wet so cosier indoors

There are germs everywhere all the time. A quick wipe down with your kitchen spray will be adequate. Throw the cloth out after if you’re worried. You are making yourself sound a bit bonkers.

Lostkeyagain · 14/02/2020 19:48

I would be 🤮 too. That is really poor practice. I think antibacterial wipes and steam cleaner would have got rid of any germs, but I would not be happy to use the cleaner again. It suggests a real mismatch of hygiene standards.

A takeaway sounds good. Are you watching anything at the minute? If you fancy a laugh I'm finding Schitts creek funny. The mom is the mom from home alone. She is comedy genius. (takes a couple of episodes to warm up).

Or what else do you like doing?

Easilyanxious · 14/02/2020 19:57

Think a take away and a comedy is probably a good idea , thanks .

Have a nice evening. My sister keeps telling me arrested development is good too. Smile

AmazingGreats · 14/02/2020 23:15

That said, I would find an alternative cleaner
