Help with my hob coffee maker

Hey, first post here.
So I got a brand new hob coffee maker - cost me £20 (which I thought was quite a aloy - however I love the look of it.)
Anyway - I literally used it for the 2nd time this morning and accidently touched it onto my dressing gown - which instantly made a hole in it!

And now I have cremated fabric all on the bottom side and its dried on there and hardened and has became part of the coffee maker - it looks very unsightly.

So I was wondering if anyone knows of anyway to remove this fabric and restore the coffee maker?

  • I have tried acetone nail polish - I have tried vinegar/baking soda scrub - to no avail...

Try boiling it with a dishwasher tablet. What's it made of?

@NomadNoMore

It is stainless steel, I dont have a dishwasher tablet... How would I boil it?

It's the external parts that are ruined not the internal...

Kind regards

Heat it up again and then try and scrub it off.

@GreyishDays

I'll try that, so scrub it whilst it's really hot? What should I use to scrub because I don't want that to burn also...

Thanks

What is your dressing gown made of?

I agree with a pp that you need heat to try and get it off - the fibres have melted. Maybe try dipping the base carefully into a pan of boiling water (use tongs!) to try and soften the fibres, then trying to scrape them off gently.
