I hate nets and I doubt hubby would go for blinds. Anything else?

hang a sign that says "Piss off, nosy bastards"

Study last week saying people without window dressings are more likely to get burgled.

AskSanta · 06/11/2007 09:11

Yes, because people can look in and see if you have the sort of TV worth stealing.

Also they can probably get an idea of whether or not you have the sort of things worth stealing.

We have wooden blinds in our dining room (which looks out to the front). You can't really see into the lounge so I just have some artificial lillies in the window which seems to do the trick.

Husband works for the police so he is well up on these things.

nab you should get ikea panel curtains

theya re the coolest thing to have in yer windows these days

loads of different designs - overlapping looks cool

and its cheap too

MrsBiscuit · 06/11/2007 10:51

You could try the spray-on frosting - it sounds cheap I know, but it worked perfectly for me (admittedly on a smallish window). Just cover the lower half of the window so the light still streams through above the frosting.

NAB3sparklesandflashes · 06/11/2007 12:50

nailpolish can you buy from Ikea on line?

I went to Roseby's today but they only had 1 curtain.

nailpolish · 06/11/2007 15:14

you can order from ikea online depending on your postcode

NAB3littlemonkeys · 06/11/2007 19:35

Thanks. Will check it out now.

NAB3littlemonkeys · 06/11/2007 19:38

No, they don't deliver in my area. I think I will try John Lewis next time I go to Bluewater.
