White Company sheets badly creased

Hi

I was gifted a duvet set from White Company (300 thread count ones). Out of the package they were pristine, I followed the instructions to the letter on washing them but they are badly creased.

I have a Phillip's perfect care steam generator iron and even it wont get the creases out. Here is a picture after ironing!

Does anyone know why its creasing so badly. Will I ever get them out? Do I need a better iron Hmm

We have WC sheets and they look like this after I've ironed them!! I can minimise it in the summer if taken straight out of the machine and dried on the line, but for the most part they look like shit even when ironed. I would also warn you that I have three sets, and not one set has survived without a rip in a duvet cover or pillow case!!! They're only about 4 years old (which I think is not that old considering the price??) and I will not repurchase!!!

Oh wow that's interesting to know. I am going to email them and ask them why then. Bit shit for how much they cost!

How did you dry them? Pure cotton sheets really can't be tumbled without creasing.

I dont have a tumble dryer so i took them out and hung up on my airer with dehumidifer on laundry setting.

I called the company up, they basically said the sheets are industrial pressed hence why they are crease free but the more u wash the less creases as cotton softens up. Kinda makes sense as first wash they were bad, second wash not as bad. Confused will just have to see over time but basically unless I have an industrial press Grin they wont ever be perfectly crease free

Hi,

All 100% cotton products crease easily, if your looking to avoid the creasing a poly cotton mix is easier to maintain.

I find a steam iron helps with the 100% cotton but its not perfect.

Yes, this is just what cotton does isn't it?
