How can I stop my fridge from smelling?

You can smell it in the kitchen, and definitely when the fridge door is open.

I have taken everything out and cleaned it, checked that all of the contents are fine (they are), I've put some bicarb in a tub, I've cleaned the drip tray and the drain thing at the back the latter was a little clogged up but neither of these were smelly.

I'm out of ideas and seriously contemplating buying a new fridge freezer Sad

I bought a fridge fresh thing once for mine ; egg shaped and you put it in the egg container. It did work.
You don't see them around much in the supermarkets but might be worth looking on line or on amazon? Lakeland ?
It absorbs any odours.

In desperation I got a deodoriser but it was cheap and more like a fragrance freshener thing. I'll google for an egg.

A cup of freeze dried instant coffee can help as a short term measure. It will also absorb water too and become a thick syrup just to warn you.x

Put bicarbonate of soda on a saucer in the fridge you won’t have any nasty smells.

I have a small pot of bicarb of soda in the fridge.

Cut an onion in half and leave in the fridge

Clean it again. If food is not off and covered and it’s cleaned regularly, why would it smell???Confused
