Child keeps weeing on carpets

Please help!
My DS4 has recently been toilet trained, however keeps hiding upstairs and weeing all over my carpets! Sad
The carpets are very thin and old (and will eventually be replaced when he stops doing it!) however what can I do to get the smell out for now please? The smell is making me feel sick! Tried hot soapy water and a scrub brush, carpet shampoo etc. Sad
Thank you

Enzyme cleaner, we had some when house training an adult greyhound. It's a spray in a green bottle.

Pet stain remover as above. Pets at home sells Simple Solution pet stain remover which is amazing at breaking down wee smells. Otherwise try a solution of biological laundry detergent, though this is harder to rinse (I prefer liquid to powder, I think it rinses more easily).

Don't use very hot water as this can "set" the smell and make it harder to remove.

Oh and once you've done the bio, the advice for cat wee is to go over it with surgical spirit to remove any last traces.

Would it help to put a potty in every room? Baby steps.
