How would you clean Dining fabric Chairs?

So got 6 dining room chairs - i've managed to unscrew the seat and the back support. We have alot of visitors come over with kids and over time its stained the fabric.

the issue is that there's about 50+ staples in each piece. It wouldnt be an issue taking them off but the back supports are a very snug fit.

So i'm asking if there is any way to clean them off without taking the material off. I've read about Steaming them which again luckily isnt a problem as i've got a cloth steamer. what actual products would you use on them or is it a case of leaving them to soak in the bath with washing powder? would that not damage the sponge?

You can get upholstery foam stuff that you rub into the fabric with a plasticky brush thing on the top of the cap. I would try that.

Or cover them in some new fabric or vinyl. I did mine with upholstery vinyl when my kids were little but one of those wipeable table cloths would also work.
