Give me 5 jobs to do

My house is suffering at the moment as DH and I have been working stupid hours and housework has come bottom of the priorities. I'm off work today and so far have been to the gym, out for breakfast, done a load of washing and loaded the dishwasher. Can someone just give me 5 jobs to do, if that's all that's been done in your house for a week? Nowhere is really untidy but I think I'll work better with a to do list from somebody else! Thank you

Clever plan muddled.
I'll give you one, that I always seem to put off, and I'll go and do it myself
Mop the kitchen floor

LochJessMonster · 29/01/2020 14:57
  1. cobwebs in ceiling corners.
  2. damp dust all surfaces, especially tv cabinet and radiators, tops of photoframes
  3. hoover - house instantly looks tidier once hoovered
4.clear clutter from kitchen surfaces
  1. spray window cleaner for inside of windows and all mirrors, glass surfaces.

Open the windows, hoover, close the windows, stick bleach down the toilet(s), sit down and have a coffee ;-)

Download the Team TOMM app. It's about £4, but well spent in my opinion as it motivates me! Everyday, 1 load of washing, clean somthing in the bathroom and sweep the main living areas. Then it's a short hit on a different area of the house each day

OK, my kitchen floor is now clean and smelling lemony fresh, off to tackle the cobwebs next, and I actually have the teamTOMM app on my phone, I just don't have 30 mins each day, but rather 1 day off a fortnight

Dust the lounge
Hoover the sofa/cushions/floor
Tidy hallway dumping ground ( pile of shoes/coats/mail etc)
Wipe kitchen doors and sides
Empty bin and wipe it down

Gazelda · 29/01/2020 15:39

Clear the pile on the bottom of the stairs
Do 15 mins of ironing
Clean mirrors (mine always look fine until I clean them, then I realise how dusty they were)
Hoover downstairs
Clean kitchen sink, followed by a slug of zoflora down the plug hole

muddledmidget · 29/01/2020 15:39

Thank you! So far I've

1)mopped the kitchen floor
2)hoovered everywhere
3)dusted the lounge
4)decobwebbed
5)cleared and cleaned the kitchen surfaces
6)tidied the hallway
7)sat down with a cup of tea

Any suggestions on where to go next? I'm really enjoying someone else taking on the mental load and just following instructions!
