No mission

I am changing all the beds, scrubbing the children, and getting all the school stuff ready for next week, today. If the girls help me sort out their room, I have also promised a trip to the park this afternoon.

Morning all

Sorry you are so down, HN. The lack of mobility must be terribly frustratin. I am with HNT, though. A wheelchair isn't such a bad thing. It may allow you do things you just can't manage at the moment, and possibly even allow you to save your strength to get around at home o your ow (don't know if it works like that, but maybe?)

DD2 has her birthday at the end of next month, too, but we are going out (paid for with Tesco Vouchers) instead of having a party, so that will be easy. She is so easy to please, it is almost unbelievable. If I spent all day cuddln her, she probably wouldn't care if she had no presents at all.

Ruby Co-ordinating wrapping paper to the room in which the present will be given??
I buy a huge roll of whatever, and everyone gets the same except presents from Santa for the chldren. DDs don't believe now, either. I will have to start explaining why they shouldn't tell ds before he can even speak.

Morning ladies

HN I'm sorry you are so down too, but I agree with jas and HNT a wheelchair isn't such a bad thing, it will help you get around, and help you rest a bit. You'll never be able to carry on if you keep falling. It must be very hard to come to terms with, but it will be for the best I am sure. {{{HUGS}}} for you anyway. xx

Morning jas hope you get all your chores done today. I too need get kids stuff sorted out. Rather inconveniently, we can't pick up their uniforms (ordered over the summer) until MONDAY...which gives us a day to label and wash them tut!

Ruby LOL @ having to colour coordinate your wrapping paper to the room they are given in!!! You must have a very good memory for that one!!!

Well.... I am hoping not to get an email from shouldbe rearranging our meet up for today (shouldbe if you happen to have computer access, and see this...I can't do today..tomorrow is fine...but dh has gone off for the day...in the car!) He has gone to Marshall at a rally (he forgot he had said he would do it and sprung it on me when he got in last night) so he is out all day! You are very welcome to come here though if you can't do tomorrow

Well, as I have nothing else to do now, I'll get on with the house. I'm not dressed yet...might have a nice bath maybe.

BFN xxx

ludaloo · 01/09/2007 10:20

OOOhhhhhh I have found a lovely idea on Martha.....for xmas stockings...
They look really easy, and you could find a suitably red pocketty type sweater from charity shops!

here

Ooooh somebody stop me getting all christmassy! I'm supposed to be having a bath!!!!

grouchyoscar · 01/09/2007 10:47

Morning Jas and Luda and hello All HN hope you're feeling chearier today. Having your mobility compromised is bloody awful, it really is. I know how you feel, much sympathy.

Well I'm still scratched up to high heaven but I'll survive. DH has banned me from going berrying while he and Ed are out this aft. Like yeah...have you seen the size of the ironing pile/heap?

Done
Up
Washed
Dressed
Make Ed's bed
Make our bed
Draw curtains
S&S loo
S&S Bathroom
Empty upstairs bins to grey bin outside
Empty TD (just getting the last bit of damp that would not line dry)
Empty WM
Peg out
Wash up

To Do

Clean out cat litter

Vac up downstairs
Vac staircase and landing
Mop downstairs
Wretched, infernal godforsken ironing
Sort out Ed's uniform and see if new items are needed
Sort out Ed's drawers

So, anyone got nice plans for the weekend?

mOZzy · 01/09/2007 12:11

morning everyone!

HN sorry to hear you are so down! maybe there is a way to just rent an electric wheelchair?!? i do hope though the test will show something soon; not that i want them to show anything but so that you finally know what can be done!!

pmsl you and xmas

no plans for us today - might take the monsters to the park later, if the rain stays away

now i remember why it's great to join you guys: i don't dare sit at the pc before i actually can show something i have done already ;)
not much but still: d/w un-and reloaded, washing pegged out, 2 machines ironed (!)

not the kids want some attention ...

grouchyoscar · 01/09/2007 13:20

Just got the last 3 to do now. Mopping and vaccing done and I've got doing thge cat litter down to 10 mins start to finish (mnah Kelly, who needs a timer?)

Once DH has set off for Football (singing '6 points to go until we get to zero') and Ed goes to his granma's (singing the same) I'll tackle the ironing

ludaloo · 01/09/2007 13:31

Hello

Well I haven't actually done a lot today!

~Spent way too long on Martha's site
~Had a bath
~Dried and straightened hair
~Went to shop
~Ate a Star Bar
~Made dh and his friend a sandwich, who both came back for lunch looking like orange drowned rats! (they have to wear a dayglow orange bib! HA HA!! )
~Played on Super Mario and got 2 shines
~Tickled DD2 until she got hiccups
~Did some colouring with DD1
That's it

Will go and do something constructive in a mo

Jas · 01/09/2007 13:56

Mmmmm.....star bar.

BigBearistheBigBear · 01/09/2007 14:21

Well its good that playing with the kids is constructive, as we have just had a mass game of hide and seek.....picture if you will...one fully grown adult (with a particularly fully grown butt)having hysterics under DD2's bed...as I realise I'm stuck! I'm cackling quite hyterically (I got the giggles)and all 3 kids are finding it all very amusing!! DS then gets the rope off my dressing gown to help pull me out!

Phew...GO LOL! that's two of us stuck in a silly place! (Except I would have had to have waited at least 4 hours for my DH to rescue me!!!!)
I have a sore knee....which I suspect will be a bruise, as I belted the side of the bed whilst trying to squeeze under it LOL...

(You have to be pretty quick hiding, as DS can only reach 10, and DD1 skips a fair few counting up to 20!)

I'm knackered now, and will have to go and eat some crumpets!

shouldbe · 01/09/2007 15:00

Hello from Wales everyone

We're having a nice lazy day. The kids, dh and myself have just had greatfun riding round my bro's garden on his ride-on lawnmower! The kids have loved it (as did I) I love their faces when they're having so much fun
Luda tomorrow is fine with us still, no worries at all, see you as we planned Dd has just made us buy her some playdough so your dd1 and her can play with that tomorrow (hopefully they'll share with the boys and dd2 too)

All this talk of Christmas is making me I love getting ready for Christmas, we'll be a bit broke this year so need some budget ideas. My bro and SiL have invited us here to Wales this year so we may take them up on it

(((hugs))) to HN Hope you soon feel better. I'd agree with the others about the wheelchair - maybe it'd be a good idea for now at least until you feel stronger/get a better diagnosis from the doctor?

Better go and watch the kids/laze about some more See you later x

ludaloo · 01/09/2007 15:03

oooh x posts

You've arrived

DS seems fine and dandy today...so I suspect it was just something to do with his jabs.

Looking forward to seeing you all...DD1 will LOVE the playdough!

And...Xmas in Wales that'll be a nice change!

blossomsmine · 01/09/2007 16:05

HN hope you are feeling ok at the moment, my friend managed to hire an electric wheelchair just for a couple of weeks. It was good that she didn't buy one as she didn't like it very much and eventually got a manual one, so good to try out these things.
Regarding that wrapping paper thing.....every year i buy the paper to match whatever colour i have done my tree in, last year it was red and silver so i had to have red/silver paper, looked so lovely with the pressies sitting under the tree all matching Makes me sound really organised but NO nothing else was sorted and i was still buying presents on Christmas Eve!!

AufishFeQueen · 01/09/2007 16:35

NO!, NO! NO! Please do not talk about Christmas until after the 28th September purrrrrlease!!!!!!!! DD1's birthday then and after that I will quite happily talk about Christmas, only just had the boys birthdays and that hurt the pocket a bit! Especially when the car that was only MOTed on Friday of last week decided it was time for the clutch to go on Tuesday! OUCH! If you must talk Chrimbo then do it quietly!

BigBearistheBigBear · 01/09/2007 16:56

§§§§§§§§§§§§§

hey look! My dd2 just found this!

Jas · 01/09/2007 17:38

Big Bear. We can have an exclusive § club.

There is a wheelchair hire shop at the end of my road. Not your average corner shop, but I have used it when my Aunt visited and broke her walking stick.

I can't change colours for Christmas trees every year. What do you do with all the old decorations? I use the same ones, and just add a couple more and get rid of a few broken ones each year.

grouchyoscar · 01/09/2007 18:25

Luda sounds like I've started a trend! Nice to know we have DSs who can be calm in a crisis. I didn't mention yesterday that DH called me back to check I wasn't joking before he set off. (like yeah, I've just made it all up for a laugh but I had to be nice as I needed a hand) It's good fun getting safely stuck isn't it!?!

OK...FLY update

As DH requested I checked the account as he is going to be paid on Monday ( only 3 days late this month) We've done well this month and have spent less than he's been paid. Oh and

I HAVE* DONE THE IRONING

Took 2 hours, had to fill the iron twice and I have resolved not to leave it to mound up like that again.

So the stuff with Ed's clothes will wait until tomorrow as I'm stopping for today. I think I've done enough.

Will pop back tomorrow. Night all, there's a bottle of wine with my name on it.

FunkyGlassSlipper · 01/09/2007 19:42

Hi everyone.

Done nothing as weekend.

Looooove the idea of co-ordinated wrapping paper

Bewilderbeast · 01/09/2007 21:31

hello all

Done

mammoth shop
quick kitchen blitz
tart made for tea

other than that haven't really done anything as we have been out all day trying to find bedroom furniture for ds.

In laws coming tomorrow morning so will be getting up for a frantic house clean at stupid-o'clock.

blossomsmine · 01/09/2007 21:34

FGS glad you are liking the coordinated wrapping paper thing, me too, whatever makes us happy hey!!
Jas i used to always use the same christmas tree decorations then after pressure from the kids let them have a year each of chosing the colour scheme, so that was three different colours and then i mix them all around and stuff!! I didn't pay loads for them just bought cheapy ones and mixed them with whatever i had that matched!! They are all in the loft with the rest of the CLUTTER!!
Sorry talking about the C word again. Will stop now...although i just bought a few saving stamps from Tesco and have decided to buy as many as i can from now until C so i will hopefully have abit to spend when the time comes!
Anyway done my ironing got to put it away and then RELAX!!
Have a nice evening everyone

ludaloo · 02/09/2007 08:28

morning ladies!!
i had a great night - woheyyy!
ds did come see me at 3am but went straight to bed so not too bad - BUT i slept till 7am!!!!
i think that happened last sometime before kids so 3 yrs ago!!!
it was just a bit shocking to see oh standing next to the bed (he works nights and comes home at 7am so normally i am up way before he gets in...)

BUT i stripped our bed last night, had a lovely long shower (while kids were watching tv ) - d/w is finished by now too and i am trying to get to grips with this facebook thingy

shouldbe · 02/09/2007 09:31

Morinng all

I'm home alone this morning - dh and db are off mountain biking and SiL is swimming - feels a little odd to be on my own in someone elses house, with no jobs to do...

Looking forward to seeing you Luda My dd will be excited with your dd about her tooth

Better go and get the kids breakfasted.

Have a good day

SimplySparkling · 02/09/2007 10:55
