Cream long pile rug + puppy poo - please help me!

Our puppy has just shat on the rug and I have bunged it in the bath but have no idea what to do with it next - how do you wash them?

Depends on the rug. Does it have a wash insyructions label anywhere on it?

My dog had an accident on a cream carpet the other week. I cleaned it up (it wasn't a messy one) and did a quick spray with Flash.

Next morning, there was a definite stain. I put Vanish Powershot stain remover on it - quick squirt of foam which you remove straightaway.

It did exactly what it said on the tin - dissolved the stain instantly. I was very impressed (and amazed).
