Can I put dd's crocs in the washing machine?

And don't all go replying 'yes and hopefully they will disintegrate'

Dd was given some hand-me-down crocs last month. I am not usually too keen on hand-me-down footwear but decided to make an exception in this case. She has worn these blasted bright orange croc all day every day for last month and they now look awful (being second-hand they were already pretty tired looking)

They are quite big and so I am sure they will fit her again next summer. (Even if no longer considered the 'in' thing to wear, they will be handy on the beach)

Before I pack them away, can I sling them in the machine on a gentle wash? And can I do the same with ds's neoprene/rubbery sandals?

I think the done thing is to put them in the dishwasher!

Spidermama · 31/08/2007 18:57

I'm sure you can.

Fab, thanks for that! Don't have a dishwasher unfortunately, but will give it a week for a late summer to kick in [hopeful emoticon] and then will wash all rubbery footwear and put away till next spring.

Thanks again!

i dump ours in a bowl of warm water & washing up liquid and give them a gentle scrub - takes a couple of minutes. You can get Croc Butter which is supposed to restore the finish, but i havn't tred it yet.
