Critique my kitchen

Does anyone have any suggestions on if and how the attached kitchen plan can be improved? It would be an extension across the back of the house so door and window look to the garden. The existing kitchen can just be seen in grey in the top right corner and will be a downstairs Wc and small utility room with a 'back' door to the side of the house. I've planned for 2 eye level ovens in tall housing, a set of pan drawers under the hob, space for a freestanding fridge freezer (want an American style one) and build in bin unit in the island. The squares by the island are stools. Thanks for any advice!

I have no advice sorry but just wanted to day I think it looks great. Really spacious!

Thank you! I'm on about version 30 of the design so have put a lot of thought into it. I had to make it bigger than I need to fit a master bedroom above it, but decided against cramming more units in as I think there are plenty.

Your fridge freezer is quite a walk from the hob and sink - might work better swapped with the tall cupboard?

ExpletiveDelighted · 24/01/2020 15:08

I'd want a bigger run of counter next to the hob, counter on both sides of the hob and preferably the hob closer to the fridge freezer so you can get things in and out more quickly while cooking.

More surface space around hob. Consider on Island (though not my preference) or move ovens to wall between fridge and tall cupboards so you have a tall wall block. I'd have a Bigger island too, as big as I could with walking space around.

I did have the ovens on the other side at first but thought they were too far from the hob... maybe that would be better though! There is 1.2m around the island which I have read is recommended, but could reduce that a little. I feel a version 31 coming on!

I'd swivel your island by 90 degrees and make it a bit longer.

I'd put the ovens on the opposite side and put fridge in top right corner with more counter around the hob.

You might end up constantly walking round/walking into the centre bit otherwise
Also would be more tempted to put dishwasher closer to / under the sink to make plumbing in a bit easier and move that draw unit to beside the hob - you can keep cutlery/spices etc in those in easy reach.
