Stop things in tumble tangling

Just that really. How do you stop things in tumble drier balling up tigether in a tangle? Sheets especially. End up with one jumbled ball with pillow cases inside duvet cover all in a pickle and not dry as a result. I put them in one at a time and have dryer balls in machine. Advice appreciated. As you can tell I don't use it often and so clueless :)
Thabks.

Are you doing up the duvet cover before putting it in the wash? I do and don't have this problem... or maybe you've overloaded it?

Also have this problem. Duvet is done up but it all ends up in a ball and all tangled together. So watching with interest to see what I’m doing wrong Grin

I used to have this problem before and now I dry duvet covers alone and then flat or bottom sheets with pillows cases and no problems so far.

Stick some wool balls in there with them.

Could be your dryer. I bought a Mielie that was one of their cheapest and its TOTALLY RUBBISH. It only rotates in one direction. That means everything gets really tangled. Almost unusable. Have to stop it three times if I am doing a king sized duvet. I HATE IT!!!!!

Better machines change direction intermittently to stop stuff getting tangled.

I do up the duvet, every second button is ok.

I also ( Blush ) shake out and fold the bedding loosely before I put it in the dryer. It does make a difference.

I find this happens if I've put too many things in the dryer at once. For example, I wouldn't put a king size duvet cover, fitted sheet and four pillowcases in at once. I would put the duvet cover and the pillowcases, or the fitted sheet and the pillowcases.
