Morning everyone....I'm still about but babystepping. Up very early so wont get much done today....

SimplySparkling · 31/08/2007 08:08

Hello to all. I'm back from hols but haven't been on MN much. We're still getting ourselves organised for the first day of school next week so I'll just lurk for a bit. I hope all are fit and well.

shouldbe · 31/08/2007 08:11

Good morning

I had quite a reasonable day in the end yesterday and managed to make some improvements to the house
Today I need to do a quick whizz round and pack for our weekend away I seem to have laundry coming out of my ears so would like to try to catch up with it all a bit, plus both children wet their beds last night so I have to wash all their bedding too!

We're meeting friends at the park this afternoon so will be getting out a bit too

Nothing much else to report. Have a good day everyone

shouldbe · 31/08/2007 08:11

Morning simply

Jas · 31/08/2007 08:27

How have I possibly managed to have 18 odd girls socks?

OP posts:
ludaloo · 31/08/2007 09:12

Morning ladies

ss nice to have you back hope you had a good holiday....hmmm we are all thinking about school too.....its gone so quick!

shouldbe I'm doing bedding today too...beds are all stripped...mattresses flipped, and first load is in the washing machine.

Morning to you too FGS

jas I know the odd sock feeling...it gets ridiculous doesn't it!!!

Well today I have to:
~Wash bedding, and remake beds
~Couple of loads of washing
~Downstairs toilet
~S&S bathroom
~Wash bath rug and toilet mats
~Go to a party at 1pm

yaddayah · 31/08/2007 09:20

Morning all !

Dh has 11 odd black work socks that are sitting in a bag waiting for there other halves.... I'm sure they've been there over a month

Am going to bin them

Ok ok recycle them !

shouldbe · 31/08/2007 09:26

Hi Luda I washed bedding yesterday so doing it again today is a PITA! At least it doesn't need to be dry as we won't be sleeping in our beds tonight

Lol at all the odd socks Jas I have a basket full which need sorting too....

I'm dressed, the first load of washing is in and we're just about to have breakfast. I've arranged with a teenage friend for her to come and play with the kids for me for an hour and a half this morning so I shouldbe able to get on!

ludaloo · 31/08/2007 09:32

Ah...shouldbe teenagers are great aren't they! I have a couple of teeneagers who come and entertain the kids...their nan and grandad live two doors away, so when they visit them, they always come and see my kids too....its great!

Jas · 31/08/2007 09:36

Mine don't wet the ef very often any more, but when they do it is always the day after I put clean sheets on

I'm not even going to count dps odd black socks. I also have a huge pile of his paired socks which have sawdust on them (he's a chippie) and he won't wear them if they scratch his feet. I hate throwing them away, but I keep washing ad tumble drying (that seems to get some of it off in the hope they will be usable again eventually)

I have got loads done this morning..

I even cleaned the hamster cage out, and sorted out ds' books. I really need to do the fish today, too.
I suppose I should be getting stuff ready for schoolto really.

That sounds like a good plan Ruby I need to sort through outgrown toys/clothes and would be up for some smuggness as Christmas approaches

Luda bring the diary on Sunday too please Need to know what the fuss is about!

I'm avoiding my ironing. The kids are playing so I ought to be making the most of my time but don't seem to be doing very much - just pottering about!

Better get on, see you later x

ludaloo · 31/08/2007 11:46

Ok...I'll bring it along too you are already jotted down in it! (not that I'd forget!!)

Ruby your christmas plan is getting me excited already I LOVE christmas....dh hates it...but I really get excited (Mind you...this is the girl who gets excited about a wall calender! ) I love to get all ready...I've already bought cards and present tags!

Well my list>>>
Oh...I've done it all! (apart from going to the party...and the washing is still on going)
I have remade the beds

Just have to hoover upstairs and down before we go out.

mOZzy · 31/08/2007 12:01

good morning ... hmm, rather 'good lunchtime'

i've almost posted earlier and then my internet crashed - i saw that as a sign to get up and do more

haven't really done much today
s/s toilet, kitchen is still clean (!), sink is still shiny (!), d/w emtied and reloaded, w/m is working, been shopping, booked car in for mot, and dinner is prepared and ready to be cooked
well, i guess good enough ... for my standards (at the moment ;))

i am very intrigued by that calendar you are talking about ... i LOVE things like that (any stationary really)

ohhh xmas already. might be a good idea to start early .. for once

once both kids are in nursery (starting next week!) - i hope to get a bit more time and sell loads of our hordings!

Hello

GO Oh poor you!!!!! Well done to your ds though! Hope your bath is nice and soothing!
Had to at the thought of your dh comming to save you though LOL!!! (sorry)

Hi mozzy you are doing well!

Well the party went ok...my DS is in a very peculiar mood...he is very sensitive...whiny...clingy (cried at least 5 times at the party for something or other)
I was panicking thinking he is going to be ill...and I'm meeting shouldbe on sunday!! and that would be SOOOOOO Typical!....but then I remembered he had his MMR Booster and all his pre school jabs last week, so I'm guessing he is feeling a bit of the side effects from those. The health visitor warned me he might (poor fellow) He has actually fallen asleep watching CBEEBIES...which NEVER happens unless he is under the weather. Lets hope it passes by Sunday! [fingers crossed emoticon]

Anyway....list all done, have hoovered up and down stairs...4th and final load of washing is in. Beds all clean, bathroom and downstairs loo nice and clean...

Just need to make supper.... I cannot be assed!!!!!!!!!! I'm worn out! well better bite the bullet and crack on!

bye

shouldbe · 31/08/2007 17:33

Agh! Luda I hope you are well enough to come, I'm looking forward to seeing you all again
GO poor you! Glad you were able to be rescued!

We've been to the park and had a play with some friends I'm very badly organised, no where near ready to leave tonight and have run out of steam and simply can't be bothered now...wish I'd made better progress earlier in the day when i had time/energy!

good evening!

i am not sure if i've achieved anything today
but i do have a clean kitchen with a shiny sink - and i am dead proud of it
(d/w is on as we .. well, read/write)

oh, mot is done for the car so that is good.
and i even had a 10min chat with my neighbour who watched the kids while i picked oh up from the garage!
shopping is put away; kids are fed, milked, bathed and dd is already in bed - ds will follow in an hour
who is very loving atm!! just came with lods of cuddles and kisses and told me he loves me
must be a boys thing

LUDA thanks for the encouragment!!
and good to hear that the party was a seccess!

GO your berryhunt sounds like fun - even with prickly adventures
we have lots of blackberry bushes around here and dd loves them!! whenever she gets a chance she sneaks there and picks ... she's not even 2 yet but know to pick the black ones

RUBY has the mail arrived yet .. including the prescious calendar of course?!?
ohhh going away over xmas, i do like the idea

tortoise · 31/08/2007 20:06

well, i am still online today but might not be tomorrow! When i try to go onto dial up it says no dial tone. I have no idea what i am doing with it lol! Will hopefully sort it out though. Can't be doing without a PC .

Jas · 31/08/2007 20:25

Evening.

I got loads done this morning, had a nice day doing nothing with my friend, then thought I'd got loads more to do I've just cleared up downstairs and it only took20 mins!

Ruby I like the Christmas idea. FL did it last year, but alot of the stuff she wanted us to do was stuff I never do. Will you tell us what to do every week.
My only plan is to start puttin £1 coins in a tin so I have some extra money saved up. I did it from Jan to August for the holidays and it has been a lifesaver. I even have £20 of it left to start my Christmas fund off.

mOZzy - my dd2 is constantly cuddling and loving...ds on the other hand has never let anyone kiss him. (I sneak one in when h isn't looking)

FunkyGlassSlipper · 31/08/2007 20:36

Dipping in to say I love the xmas idea too Ruby

I have all of DDs presents already except the big one each from santa.

tortoise · 31/08/2007 20:42

FGS. i like the christmas idea too. I have a tin with £1 and £2 coins in that i have been saving. Probably not a huge amount in there.
Plan is to get DS's a joint present of a Nintendo wii. I will make sure i buy it beginning of November.
No idea what to get DD's.
or anyone else in my family.
Oh and then there is the stocking bits from santa!
