you mean the magnum tablets? they're fine. Remember as always that 'all in one' dishwasher tablets fall under the same category as 'anti ageing cream' - a lie. Add salt and rinse aid too.

Buggedandconfused · 16/01/2020 15:30

They are as good, if not better, than any I have tried. Get the ones that you don’t need to unwrap, the wrapping dissolves in the dishwasher.

Frariedeamin · 16/01/2020 15:31

The liquid pods didn’t work for me. They kept getting stuck in the drawer. I aware buy the tablets though. Live in one of the hardest water areas in the country and they clean dishes wonderfully! (Still have to use salt and rinse aid...)

The magnum tablets are fab. Much better than other own brands (I’m looking at you, Sainsburys)

Goldwispa · 16/01/2020 22:17

Thanks everyone, I'll give them a try

I’ve tried so many different brand and now currently using Aldi magnum and can say they are the best ones I’ve used and will now stick with buying them.

I use Asda smart price - £1.60 (I think?) for 30. Work fine and our dishwasher is not a posh brand and coming on for 5 years old.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 17/01/2020 10:24

The most important thing with a dishwasher ime is salt and rinse aid and then use a cheaper tablet. We always use Aldi ones or Tesco own brand, the absolute cheapest ones.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 17/01/2020 14:02

I use the Aldi Magmum salt, rinse aid and monthly cleaner (blue bottle goes in the DW empty)

Not tried the DW tablets - they never have plain ones , only lemon and I don't like that on dishes .

For a cheap clean I pit a ramekin of soda crystals in top rack, a jug with about 300ml white vinegar in the bottom and whack it on its hottest programme. Leave it closed for an hour after so it steams. Then take all the bits out and give them a scrub. Dishwasher is gleaming and fresh after Smile
