Breathable rubber gloves

I want rubber gloves for cleaning that do not accumulate sweat from my hands inside them. Lakeland used to sell some but don't seem to have them these days. Has anyone come across any? The problem is that wearing rubber gloves for a day's heavy cleaning wrecks my fingernails. I assume it's the moisture inside the gloves. I've tried all the handcream/cotton glove solutions and they don't help.

Aha! I can help you there.

I work as a cleaner and had exactly this problem Nail infections and all that. Then I discovered, in a store room where I work, a box of thin 100& cotton waiter's gloves which - as catering no longer had any use for them - I appropriated.

I wear a pair under my rubber gloves and swap them over for a clean pair as soon as they start to get damp clammy. On a 6 hour shift I'll get through several pairs - I give them a quick rince out at the end of the day and they're dry in the morning. Throw them through the washing machine every now and then. They're no longer pristine white but do the job, my hands are so much better these days.

Thank you. I’ve ordered some and I’ll see if it’s better. It’s not my nails but it’s the skin next to my cuticles that’s damaged and bleeding, I think from sweat and rubbing inside my rubber gloves, so hopefully this will make a difference.

Update - I wore the cotton gloves under my normal washing up gloves for doing the cleaning and they really worked, no bleeding hands! So thanks for the recommendation.
