Can I paint, I've got my enthusiasm back now for doing the bedroom, I lined the walls this morning and finished at 12

If it's dry, you can paint. It's better left overnight though. Have you filled the joints with fine filler and sanded them yet

Ooooooooh no, i'll get to it

I've put lining paper up hundreds of times (exaggeration, but definitely lots), I've just lined and painted our dining room. I've NEVER filled the joints!

I wouldn't either Tissy, but Dh is a bloody perfectionist and can't stand to see lines in lining paper, he puts it up horizontally as well and leaves a miniscule gap so it can be filled and sanded. OK it looks good but so much farking work

Me, I would put it up vertically and not give a shite, even better pay some other sod to do it.

We left ours overnight before painting the next day,
