Real wooden floors

We've recently moved house and have found under the carpet and laminate downstairs it has parquet flooring

We have had a quote from someone to fix and sand etc this so we can use it again as I've always wanted a parquet floor

Question is one of the rooms that has this is the hall! In the summer it's not too bad but in the winter etc (with a pushchair and dog) it's going to get messy

How do I clean it? Normal floor cleaner? Hoover and mop? Steam cleaner?

We've never had a real wood floor before and I've never really cared for the laminate so haven't really looked after it well

I have it in my hallway and find it easy to keep clean. Just sweep and mop.

Hoover and mop with water only (no chemicals). A microfibre mop, like Lakeland’s clean n gleam, is good.

I like this floor cleaner, smells lovely but generally just sweep the floor which is enough.

I like this floor cleaner, smells lovely

I second that - Method is amazing! I use it once a week on my floors for the sole reason that I love the smell!
