Filthy stained carpet: worth professional clean or get rid? Pic

Make up stains and spills, not a fan of the carpet anyway as terrible with dust allergy.
I don't have a massive budget though it's either remove the carpet, paint the floor and cover with a massive rug or professional clean it. Vanish is just not cutting it.. everything around the stains gets pale but the stain remains with carpet cleaners. The smell is also bad.

I don’t think a carpet cleaner will improve that enough to be worth it tbh. With that plus the asthma id definitely pull it up, what is the floor like underneath? My only worry is that if the floor isn’t in good condition it could take a lot of time and money to look decent and it might be better to put a cheap laminate over it. Maybe get something in the sales?
