Advice on kitchen appliances needed please

Hi everyone,
I need some advice. We are planning to refurbish the kitchen in the close future. I was planning to get Bosch or AEG brands. However once I started doing my research, AEG is debatable. Therefore I need some advice please from anyone with recent experience, especially on AEG. Seems I would get more function for the same money on AEG appliances, but I’m afraid of the reliability, built quality and customer service. The items I’m looking to buy are induction hob, single oven and cooker hood. Some suggested that AEG is not so good, others praising the brand. So if you had experience on recent models (let’s say last 5-10 years), please help me with your advice.

Can't help with AEG but in the past year have bought and been using bosch induction hob, built in single oven, built-in microwave/combi oven and DW plus extractor and have been mighty impressed by all of it.

Bosch would be the other brand, thanks. It just seems that AEG is giving more for the money. Like AEG has bigger zones which automatically adjust to the size of the pan. For the same money Bosch seems to do less.

Bosch of old was brilliant quality , new Bosch not so much.

I had a Bosch WM for 10 years , it was one of the big drum (when they first appeared) size of a small car (I am fibbing here but it was huge)

The new ones just seemed so tinny and flimsy .
Bosch TD handle sheared off !

Bosch DW lasted 5 years and had 3 repairs in that time (one was the water inlet , one was the heater , last one was irrepairable )

I'd had Hotpoints before - again the older ones seemed to be better quality !

I have replaced the TD with a 10kg Hoover (ok so far) and bought a smaller drum Miele - I don't need the huge capacity now - (belt sheared and snapped after less than a year Hmm )

It really is pot luck with white goods .
