How do you clean vertical blinds ?

want to do mine for the first time and don't know how

i used a feather duster and also a static duster to lift the dust off them.

If they are stained/dirty you can often wash them in the bath/shower or using a garden hose if you have somewhere to hang them above ground.

Are they fabric? If so take them off and roll them up in 10's. Secure with thread (white) and then bung ina pillow case and wash in washing machine on low. This can only be done if they are stitched as opposed to glued

A friend of mine washed hers in machine and was a disaster so be careful.

MIL washed them in the bath and put vanish powder on them and hung them out to dry on the washing line.

Don't tell me this is yet another chore I never realised I had to do before!

You can buy special blind cleaning things from those catalogues for elderly folk. The ones where vibrators nestle amongst foot muffs, masquerading as vibrating shoulder destressers...
