Any Italian coffee experts?

You know those Bialetti metal coffee machines you put straight on the hob? I have two but haven't used them since someone said to me "Oh they're made out of aluminium it's not good to use those!" So is there any truth in that?

I now just use my Alessi one which appears to be made out of stainless stell.

I have a Bialetti too, and us eit all of th etime. we nought it in Italy.
I have no idea what it is made form though.

Thanks! I wish I can remember who told me to stop using it. But the website still sells the kind I have. I think they're made out of steel or aluminium.
