Good morning Everybody Big hello to Newbies and Returnees

Good old insomnia again so I thought I'd make use of it and start the thread.

I'm not about tomorrow (it's the wedding, yay) so I'll have to get some flying done early on today. At 2:30 I have a manicure so I can't really spoil it can I dahlings?

So To Do Saturday morning

Up, washed and dressed to shoes
Any Ed related issues
S&S loo
S&S bathroom
Empty DW
Put away
Empty WM
Peg out if poss
Clean out the cat litter (ewwh)
Ironing
Blitz the bedroom
Sort shoes out
Put ironing away
Put dry washing away

Then off for the manicure then

Full body scrub inc micro dermabrasion
Shower
Moisturisise
Get things ready for the wedding (perfume handbag, present, bracelet, sunglasses)
Get supplies for Ed who is being farmed out for the day (clothes, bedclothes, toys, books, games, night time requirements)

Then stop.

I'll pop in with progress reports when I can. Have a lovely bank holiday everyone.

Morning GO Hope you have a great day and you enjoy your manicure. Hope you caught up on some sleep too!
I have been sleeping terribly recently as well, but I'm too lazy to get out of bed.

We were all up early. DD2 woke up and then woke DS up, which then woke DD1 up. DD2 has learned a new word!! "pebble"...anything vaguely pebble like gets picked up and bought to me in a hurry, followed by a excited "bebble!!...bebble....mamma...bebble" (as she bought me the bath plug )she can actually only say a handful of words..."mamma" , "dadda", "DD1's name" (Its easy to say) and she calls DS "boy" ....and her new addition.."bebble" (can't get her to say Pebble)
DD1 could pretty much sing an entire round of "Old Mcdonald" by the time she was 1, so DD2 worries me a bit with her limited vocabulary, although the Health visitor doesn't seem worried....

Anyway!....better go and get some brekkie, see you all in a bit xxx

ludaloo · 25/08/2007 10:26

hello again

We are all up and dressed, the sun has come out, so I thought we'd go for a stroll.
Have to pop to the Post Office, so might as well walk

Hope you are all good and well

xx

ludaloo · 25/08/2007 11:35

Its a luda thread again!

We had a nice walk...but it really is too hot, and the kids were in need of food and drink, so I've come back for some lunch.
The nice weather is set for the weekend, so I hear...its sooooo nice to see the sun!

off to get something to eat

I'm a fly returnee.

Thought I'd pop on and say hello ludaloo, so you're not chatting to yourself!

I'm frankly too hungover to do any flying today.

FunkyGlassSlipper · 25/08/2007 15:02

Hi Guys,

Luda - my DD only had a handful of words until about 2.3 dont worry,

ludaloo · 25/08/2007 16:30

Thanks bigbear I was getting worried! Hope you had a good time whilst aquiring the hangover

Hi *FGS My DS was slow to speak, but we put that down to the fact he had a dummy. DD2 doesn't have a dummy and she still doesn't say a lot! (She understands absolutely everything perfectly though...doesn't miss a thing )

Well I made a quick trip into town and now I'm going to sort supper out.

I do hope everyone is well xxx

gibberish · 25/08/2007 16:38

Hi luda Poor you being all alone on here! I've been out shopping and have been making about 4 shepherd's pies since I got back.. (going to freeze 2...)

Got loads to do actually but can't be bothered.

Have decided I need to sort myself out and get healthy again (hence the frantic home cooking). Am NOT drinking tonight and have bought some sparkling fruity water to sip instead to try and break the bad habit of sipping wine all night May even pop out to the gym tonight...

Hi Bigbear

Oh BTW luda dd1 wasn't speaking properly until she was almost 3 Thought she was never going to but now I am wishing she had never learned (stroppy 14 year old...). Actually she has been very good this week so should say some nice, positive things about her

gibberish · 25/08/2007 16:38

at FGS too

tortoise · 25/08/2007 19:26

Hellooooooo! I'm back
We had a great time but i can't wait to sleep in my nice soft bed after sleeping in the tent!
The only bad bits were getting the bags there and home. Far too heavy! The tent weighed a ton!
Kids had loads of fun in the evenings watching the entertainment and playing bingo. And last night there was a russian circus performing.
Weather was lovely and sunny the whole time. First few days were a bit windy. Tent got a battering.
I had about 3 hrs sleep the 1st night!

DS's are at their dads now until Monday eve . DD's are very tired and need to go to bed and i need a long soak in a hot bath!

Hope everyone is well and have had a good few days. not caught up on threads!

gibberish · 25/08/2007 20:03

Aw sounds like you had a fab time tort

Glad you are back though - have missed you.

tortoise · 25/08/2007 20:08

Awww thanks gibberish
We did have a great time. Will add some pics to profile soon.

gibberish · 25/08/2007 20:10

Excellent! We have had cracking weather too. Managed to have a barbecue and even had a day out at the beach

shouldbe · 25/08/2007 20:15

Good evening

Just a quick hello while dh is reading a bedtime story to the kids.

Grouchy hope you've had a good day
tort welcome home
gibberish how's the wine free evening going so far?
bigbear hello
FGS hello
Luda hope you had a good day. Sorry you were here on your own for a while - I'd have been on if I'd been at home

We've had our 2nd busy day out at the festival. Most of our marquee problems were sorted (we still have the original tent, but it's not so bed now it's dressed up as our shop) It's been very hot both days, the kids are flithy but have had fun. I just can't wait to have a nice soak in the bath and a good nights sleep. It's a slightly shorter day tomorrow, we don't open till noon so don't need to leave home till 10.30.
Better go and do some tucking in and bedtime kisses.
Hope you're all well, see you tomorrow x

gibberish · 25/08/2007 20:25

My drink free evening is going fine thanks shouldbe Had hoped to go to the gym but decided to make 3 shepherds pies and forgot how LONG they take... so by the time they had cooked (6.30) I just had to eat and then ofcourse couldn't go to the gym... (excuses, excuses lol)

Glad the festival is going well. Have a great day tomorrow!

BigBearistheBigBear · 25/08/2007 22:45

I've had a wine-free evening too, means I've been motivated to do some pilates and a bit of mending. And shined my sink!

ludaloo · 26/08/2007 07:44

Hi all

tort nice to have you back...glad you had a good time!!!

shouldbe the festival sounds like a great success, glad the weather has been good. Hope you had a nice sleep, and that today goes well too

gibberish hope you enjoyed your drink free evening....well done on the 3 shepard's pies!!!

bigbear I need to shine my sink too...haven't done it for at least a week!

Well it looks like today is going to be another scorcher....sun and blue skies already this morning.
We went blackberry picking again yesterday evening, with much more luck this time, so I have a nice bowl of juicy blackberries waiting to be turned into a lovely crumble!

Might just be a day of pottering round the house again today....dh is working, (as he does most weekends) but he does have tomorrow off, so maybe we can get out then

Right better get some brekkie on the go!

ludaloo · 26/08/2007 08:40

Oooooh I'm all excited...I've just ordered an Organised Mum Home Planner Calender
I'm also contemplating the Life Book Diary...I don't really use a diary very much though, mainly rely on the calender in the kitchen, but it looks very good...

Hmmmmmmmm........

ludaloo · 26/08/2007 12:33

H e l l o ......

I have been hoodwinked into putting our small tent up in the garden two lots of neighbours have gone camping for the week and as both are DD1's friends, she is feeling slightly soooooo It looks like I might be sleeping in the garden...unless I can persuade dh to

Have to try and get it up now!

AufishFeQueen · 26/08/2007 12:39

Afternoon girls am now feeling well enough to get on with this tip of a house and get it ready for the queen of clean, Anthea has nothing on this woman! Yes my mother is coming to visit on Wednesday though the kids don't know as its a surprise for the 2 boys as its their birthdays on Thursday and Friday. Eek! At both my mother and the fact my boys will be 12 and 6!

My to do list:

Front room:

General tidy up
Polish everywhere
Hoover
sweep
sort the pile of new uniforms that are all in the corner of the room
move everything out of the room that shouldn't be there!

Dining room/conservatory:

general tidy up
put away the towels
get the girls to put away their blankets
sort out the recycling
get the ironing pile down to a reasonable size otherwise mother will do it!
sweep the floor
put clean tablecloth on the table with place mats

Downstairs loo:

clean and bleach the loo
clean the sink
clean towels

Kitchen:

Just make sure all the washing up has been done and the sides are clean
Mop the floor

Hallway:

sweep and mop floor
polish the bannisters

Upstairs:

Hoover the landing

Tidy the bedrooms
clean the bathroom

Get DP to put up the last 2 blinds.

Right I had better get off this and get on with the list and hopefully get it so then it's just a case of doing a quick tidy before she arrives.

FunkyGlassSlipper · 26/08/2007 14:01

Lol @ Luda.

We just put a tent up for DH and DD1 tonight

ludaloo · 26/08/2007 16:05

Ah....I won't be the only one then FGS

Hi Aufish hope you get tidied ready for your mother! Eeeekkk! and happy birthday to your DC (for next week)!!!!!!

We have spent most of the afternoon playing in the river. Kids have been happy splashing about in pants! I waded out and found some fantastic juicy blackberries on the river bank! I've enough for about 6 crumbles!!! (Its strangely addictive, picking blackberries!)

Well we are having supper outside in the garden by the tent.

Hope your DD (and DH) has fun in yours tonight FGS

gibberish · 26/08/2007 18:13

Hello! Bit late popping in today but have been very busy cooking. Have made about 40 burgers with cheese inside Had some for dinner with a salad and am going to freeze the rest. They were lovely and the kids really enjoyed them. Thanks goodness - what on earth would I have done with 34 burgers that everyone hated??

Still booze free and drinking gallons of water instead. Woke up really early this morning which is very unlike me!

luda lol at you having to put up a tent for dd. I'm sure you will have great fun camping out tonight Let me know what the calendar is like! I've also been sorely tempted to get the diary but have to save my pennies to get the kitchen finished next week. (Joiner coming on Wednesday to finish all the units off and tiler coming hopefully next weekend )

Aufish I think you should send your mother round here - I need some motivation to get the ironing done...

Right, off to load the dishwasher, hoover, stick some more washing on and look despairingly at the ironing basket yet again...

ludaloo · 26/08/2007 18:47

gibberish I hope the kitchen gets sorted...sounds hopeful! I'm looking forward to the diary comming actually...I'll let you know what it is like Well done you on the booze free night again...
I'm also drinking gallons of water...although I'm bored of it now so I bought some lemon barley squash to put with it. I'm scared stiff of getting another migraine, and am thinking that all the coke I drink can't be helping.....so no more coke ..actually its more of a desperate wailing emoticon needed!!
I tell you what though...I think all the water and lack of coke has messed about with my sleeping habits too....I have been sleeping really badly....waking up and not being able to sleep again for what feels like hours!! I've had several really bad dreams too

Anyway...I doubt that can be down to drinking water...its supposed to be good for you isn't it! LOL!

Well better get off for my eveing in the garden

See you all soon

ludaloo · 26/08/2007 18:47

...calender I mean...not the diary...
