How do I clean my iron?

Any tips on how to remove a nasty scorch mark from the metal soleplate would be very welcome.

Use an iron cleaning cloth. It works very well with little effort.

Minky is one brand that works well.

Paracetamol works really well. Turn the iron on and rub yhe paracetamol over the mark using tweezers or a grabber so you dont burn your fingers.

I second the paracetamol method. Very cheap and works really well.

I’ve always used Toothpaste and a scourer- clean with the iron on a low heat and then wipe off, be v careful of fingers
