Very large house: Flylady or Organised mum?

Following on from my thieving cleaners thread I am looking at trying either of these methods to try and either reduce the time I need to hire a cleaner or try and keep on top of everything myself.

So which is the best method for a large 5 bedroom house, equipped with teen boys, two dogs, two cats and two frazzled parents with full time jobs.

Cleaner for bathrooms and kitchen only.
Boys responsible for their rooms and corridors.
Adults responsible for their own rooms and reception rooms.

No-one eats in the evening until the housework is done. I worked with a man with a military background ('3PARA') and applied that rule in his home. Seemed to work.

Like the no food until jobs are done. Good rule.

Any thoughts on Fly / TOMM?

I like Flylady because it automates things totally. I've also got on well with Simply Clean in the past.

5 bed house here, 4 DC (9-18), 2 of whom are homeschooled, dog, DH who works from home except when he's away, I'm self-employed.

Automation takes the stress away. Each child takes a day a week for washing what's in baskets and stripping / washing their own bed linen and towels.

I haven't got on well with Flylady and working. I think TOMM is more working parent friendly.

But I think the key is teamwork. You might get more out of your teens by having them input into designing a new system/rota, rather than imposing Flylady or TOMM on them.

I find TOMM better as a working mum. It’s a good way to get everyone pulling their weight.

Tomm I would say. Largish house here. Crammed with stuff. I'm having my usual de clutter (it's an ongoing project not helped by my shopper of a husband). One stuff is tidy it's really easy to clean and it's easier to tidy if you don't have much. So I would say Kon Marie and tomm. Fly lady is too twee for me.
