Brexit planning (housekeeping)

I haven't been on MN for a while for various work reasons, but I just wanted to say that I have a bit of encouragement behind the scenes to update my Brexit planning posts in the light of the election result yesterday, and they have just now gone live. I was interviewed on German radio about all this as well, and there's an audio clip, but you need to speak German to understand it. I'll be producing new Brexit-related food and domestic organisation posts as and when the situation unfolds , and if you have any special requests, I will try to accommodate them - just let me know on here. Also if you haven't downloaded the Austerity Housekeeping eBook yet, it's free from 30th December to 3rd January, so perhaps hold off until then.

Here's hoping we will all be OK 'and there will be sufficient food' to quote a certain female Prime Minister. If not I suppose we can always roast Boris on a spit with a garlic rub and some wild herbs. Grin

Thanks @BoffinMum. I follow your blog and always find it value for money!

Thanks, that means a lot. I’ve not been working on it much recently, as I said, but there’s been some encouragement behind the scenes to start updating it again, so I thought it was a good time. I’ll try to get some new recipes and tips up over Christmas.

Boffinmum Thanks, those are great ideas. The new No Deal risk date us 31 December 2020. Very little of anyone’s Brexit stockpile will keep until then.

Snowjive2 · 13/12/2019 21:28

Please spare us a recipe for roast Johnson, though. It would be all fat and bad teeth.

BoffinMum · 13/12/2019 21:30

I will confess to doing stock rotation for nearly a year now. That’s why I say only buy what you can face eating or donating to the food bank. Tins and jars will easily keep beyond their best before dates so no risk there.

Snow I think he is at least 50% chorizo and 50% bollox so we might be talking about Spanish cuisine Grin

Thought I’d post a few of my stockpile pictures!
