please help me get nasty playdough off my carpet!!

I have a big nasty splodge of yellow play dough on a carpet that I just cannot remove!
Can anyone suggest what I can do? its been there for a week..

this is why I'm getting rid of our carpet and replacing with lino. When the girls have grown out of playdough we will get carpet again

I spent an hour scraping playdoh out of a carpet at church last week and found the picking and scraping method worked once the playdoh had dried.

what about freezing it first? have you got a freezer block that you can hold against the playdough to freeze it, then it should be easier to pick off. Never tried it myself.

actually I do recall reading somewhere about etting candlewax off a carpet with an ice cube.so will try the freezer block and see.Ta!
