Hi
I have a enamelled cast iron pan (from a supermarket, not Le Creuset).
It's been great and the inside is squeaky clean, but the coloured outside paint has become really rough and totally unpleasant to handle - like it's got a rough coating of limescale or something. It's like nails going down a blackboard. I think it's because I put it through the dishwasher which hasn't done the inside any harm but clearly the painted outside has not liked it.
I've tried bar keepers friend and some aggressive wire scouring which helped a little bit but not much.
Any ideas how I can salvage it? It's otherwise a perfect pan.
