Mine are so dusty-I just has a brief go at cleaning of them with a baby wipe but it wasn’t very effective and took ages! I have 8 of the stupid things!

No help - have the same problem!! Took them all down once, laid them flat & wipes each slat. Took forever. Have tried different gadgets etc, but none are very effective!

when i had wooden venetian blinds and they got mucky i took them down laid them in the bath and used washing up liquid and the shower head on them then hung them over the shower head to drip dry before putting them back up then using a damp microfibre cloth to get to the bits i had missed, baby wipes will just move the dust around

Halfords do a green microfibre mitten that dh says is ONLY for the car & nothing else but I use it on the Venetian blinds & they get all the dust up.

Pledge dry dusting wipe wrapped on my index finger and go through them one by one 😩🔫

Me too, hate them

Use a sock with thick bottomed inside texture, pop it inside out - put it on your hand - wipe slats with thick side contouring the dirty side Or use your vacuum’s upholstery dusting brush by closing the blind one way - dust, then close with the other side facing you - repeat the dusting.

Pledge duster on a handle thing.

EskewedBeef · 22/11/2019 22:16

I use the brush attachment on the hoover on closed blinds.

museumum · 22/11/2019 22:22

Old fashioned feather duster on a stick works.

AwkwardPaws27 · 30/11/2019 20:28

I do two things:
Brush attachment of the hoover on closed blinds, about once a fortnight, this gets most dust off them.
Wipe over with a damp microfibre cloth (although I LOVE the sock tip above and will be trying that!) every few months.

Just leave them. Those who comment can clean them IMV lols.

For the record twice a year I just get the feather duster out, ooh matron!
