Sick smell out of carpet

Any tips for getting a sick smell out of a carpet? DS was sick and whiles it’s been cleaned up with no mark, there’s a sick smell despite scrubbing.

Happy to use chemicals. It’s a normal pile synthetic carpet.

Zoflora solution has worked for me in the past

theneverendinglaundry · 11/11/2019 14:53

Yep zoflora also worked for us!

a solution of sodium bicarb, or an enzyme digester liquid that you buy from the vet

Dr Beckmans. It's brilliant.

Vinegar, not the coloured one.

Dr Beckmans and Zoflora seem to be the easiest to get hold of so will try those. Thanks lovely peeps.

Bicarbonate of soda absorbs the smell really easily. Just sprinkle it on leave for a while and then hoover up. Or soda water works too- I learnt that from a flight attendant when ds vomited an hour in to a 11 hour flight!

Biological wash powder solution with white vinegar in it worked here after over indulgence at cub disco

Do the shake and vac with some bicarbonate of soda.
I moved into a rented flat one and this totally restored a stinky carpet.
