Need to buy some new bath towels, which brands are best?

I got some amazing, huge, fluffy towels from Morrisons! Everyone who stays comments on them and says things like "I bet you got these from John Lewis" or "I bet these were expensive". They cost £4 each in the sale. Had them years and they're still as good as new.

I bought some nice soft ones from primark

I bought 2 bales of white towels from Costco :
handtowels and bath towels

Excellant quality , I wash on 60c with a bio detergent and if possible hang outside in the sun.

Oh yes Costco as well. I have 2 from there really good

I like the towels from Dunelm. Great quality and reasonably priced.

I find that the expensive ones are usually much better.
Cheap ones like tesco and ikea are usually crap but primark and matalan are a bit better.
John Lewis egyptian cotton, M&S and Christy's are good.

I was given a large set 13 years ago when I had DD. They have only now started fraying and becoming thin. I have never had softer, more lovely towels than them. I've managed to track them down and they're a mainly hotel brand made by Restmor called the Luxor range. 100% Egyptian cotton and 600GSM. I've had loads of towels from other places when changing colour schemes and always gone back to these. I'll be buying the large set soon

My specifications are high gsm (500+) and cheap! Not asking much, hey?!

Our very favourite thick luxurious towels were from bhs which is obviously sadly no more.

Have been wondering how good the primark ones are...and I’ve heard good stuff about Asda. I’ve also had a couple of recommendations for dunelm.
