Storage Solutions

We have a decent size 3 bed semi, but no storage! Unfortunately we our hallway has 4 doors coming off it so no space for coats/shoes. We have an under stairs cupboard but this houses cleaning stuff, recycling etc (we had this built), and we have an airing cupboard upstairs. apart from this we have no storage! I'm on mat leave at the moment so money is tight, but my house is a tip, especially with all the baby stuff so need some tips on good storage solutions etc

Ikea Kallax. One in each room. It’s amazing what you can stuff into them. Not sure what the answer is for the hallway though. Is there no wall space at all where you could put up coat hooks? If your living room is a good size could you fit a small coat rack in there?

If you have no wall space for coat hooks, you can get a row of hooks that hangs over the top of the door. You can also get ones to store shoes in.

For other storage, Ikea will be your friend here. Look for TV units with storage, when the time comes to replace sofas look at ottoman styles so you can store stuff in there too.

Never underestimate how much you can store on top of your kitchen cupboards too.
