I have just ordered this for the winter dryer and I can’t wait for it to arrive on Friday - have already told DH that after the rugby he has a big job to do Saturday! Please tell me I’m not alone and there are other people out there that get this excited about household goods?

@Fluffycloudland77 I am going to have to order one -DH is Mr casual and has sooo many T-shirt's. Is it tragic if I add it to my amazon wish list?

Not at all, we’re still cool.

We just have laundry to get done!.

ClientListQueen · 28/10/2019 21:45

Not cleaning or anything but I've ordered a plant ladder shelf and some plants Grin
I feel like an adult!

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/10/2019 22:20

Blu tack them down, stops the cat knocking them off.

ClientListQueen · 28/10/2019 22:23

@Fluffycloudland77 Ollie wouldn't dare Grin he will probably spend a month avoiding it because it "looks funny"
However I have just removed Paws from the bin

MarciaDidia · 28/10/2019 22:34

On my Christmas wish list:

  • boot cleaner
  • gardening tool organiser
  • folding ruler for DIY
  • boot remover
  • beeswax wraps

Rock. And. Roll.

coffeeagogo · 29/10/2019 02:49

@MarciaDidia tell me more about beeswax strips.... (looks for a life and fails to find one)

I have just bought beeswax wraps. Fantastic replacement for clingfilm in most situations. Washable. Long lasting.

MarciaDidia · 29/10/2019 06:36

@coffeeagogo these are they
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07MP1SQMR/ref=cmswwrcppapiii_d09TDb42ACWEH

The other thing we bought recently was plastic dome things for the microwave. You use them to cover food you're reheating so as to avoid using clingfilm all the time.

nettie434 · 29/10/2019 07:28

I bought a clothes folder like Fluffycloudland77’s because I wanted beautifully evenly folded tops but I couldn’t really get it to work. I will see if I can find a YouTube thing I can follow and try again.

PlausibleHoot · 29/10/2019 07:32

Housekeeping-adjacent really, this one, but I got a little fizzle of pride when I got my socket and spanner set (for doing smaller mechanic-y jobs on the car). It's so shiny. Grin misses point

ilovetofu · 29/10/2019 07:40

Oooo I want beeswax wraps!

ChrisPrattsFace · 29/10/2019 07:48

I’ve been using beeswax wraps for a couple of months now and don’t enjoy them! It says the stickyness will ware off once they’ve been washed/moulded and used a couple of times but they’re SO sticky it’s awful. We also got a popular well reviews brand too...

coffeeagogo · 29/10/2019 07:53

Sold on the beeswax wraps too (had massive insomnia last night and in my addled state was thinking it was leg waxing related) GrinGrin

Shiny socket set sounds lovely, alas DH has that covered (every tool known to humans plus some he's made himself)

Also have a hankering for a new steam mop - maybe this: steammop might have to wait till next months payday

OP posts:
coffeeagogo · 29/10/2019 07:55

@ChrisPrattsFace oh no! Which brand did you get if you don't mind sharing?

OP posts:
ChrisPrattsFace · 29/10/2019 08:29

We just got a shark steam mop and it’s actually amazing. So I would recommend them!
They’re literally Called ‘beeswax food wraps’ - I’m not sure if this is normal but they come with a note saying the stickyness will pass after used and cleaned a couple of times, but I don’t even like touching them! Doesn’t seem to affect the sandwiches though!?

coffeeagogo · 29/10/2019 09:46

Thanks @MarciaDidia and @ChrisPrattsFace - I have truly gone down the rabbit hole and am have ordered this too: reusable as well as the beeswax wraps
