Rug keeps creasing up.... best gripper/pad?

Hiya!

We have a rug (on a carpet) in the kids play corner of the living room. It’s constantly moving around and bunching up and I’m constantly pulling it out straight. I see you can buy grippers and underlay etc. Just wondered what the best tried and tested solutions were. Our carpet is synthetic fibre and the rug is wool but kind of plastic backed.

I have one from next that does the job

@fleariddenmoggie is that a mat that goes underneath the rug or gripper strips?

It is a sticky sort of mat that goes under the rug.

I have the rubber grid type mat underneath from IKEA that you can cut to size. We have hard floors and the rug doesn't move at all.

I also have that gripper from Next. It's fab!

I ended up going into a carpet shop. The man sold me this double sided sticky pad thing. He said the ones for shiny floors don’t work on carpet.

It’s all fitted and seems to be working!!
