Steam iron generators question

I've just ordered one with great reviews from Amazon. I've never had a steam generator iron before so now it's time to replace my trusty steam iron, thought I'd give it a go. I went for Amazon as I know how good they are with returns.

I'm now wondering whether I've done the right thing. I have a gentleman with a relatively mild learning disability living with me who likes to iron his own things. While he is quite capable of doing his own ironing I'm wondering about the safety aspect of them. He can be a bit clumsy at times. If they are no more dangerous than a normal iron then he will be okay.

Anyone own one who can help put my mind at rest?

I’d say the safety aspect is the same. If he’s able to use a normal iron it shouldn’t be any different.

The irons lighter ime because the water tank isn’t built in.

@fluffycloudland77

Thanks for replying. What about the steam aspect of it?

They shut off instantly so I wouldn’t worry.
