Can you iron cup marks out of oilcloth?

Just that really. Have noticed that my lovely oilcloth has dozens of round ‘creases’ in it where I’ve clearly been putting my hot cup of tea down Can I iron them out on the reverse with a cool iron or will I ruin it?

I wouldn't. steam might work.
