Ds came home with what I assume are window stickers (I was at work ) from his grandparents, he stuck them on the wall and now there is a greasy mark. I have used a magic sponge and it's still there. How can I remove it ? We rent do are limited to what we can do. Picture attached hopefully

If you have nothing left to lose, I would rub baby oil onto it with a bit of kitchen roll and see what happens.

Surely if it’s a matt paint that has soaked up the residue from the sticker then you need to draw that out to remove it. The oil thing is for removing sticky residue on a surface like glass or metal surely the paint would just soak it up even more.

The only thing I could think of would be to treat it like fabric so cover it with talcum powder and rub it into the mark, leave for a bit then wipe off with water and a bit of washing up liquid.

I have no idea if this would work though OP so proceed with caution.

Hi, I know this is an older post but did you ever find a solution? I have same situation here with a Frankenstein window sticker 😂

@Twinmummadness the ideal sticker and sticker residue remover is Eucalyptus oil.

@Sweetpeasaremadeofcheese thank you ☺️ I’ll give that a try 🤞🏻

I would not put oil on a porous surface like emulsion paint!
