Best wall tile cleaning for grease?

I deep fry/cook quite a lot and the extractor fan doesn't work (rental property so Im not going to put a new one in) and noticed that the tiles around the cooker are scummy with grease. Any suggestions to cut through it? They are dark in colour so you can't see it that well but I know it's there and want rid!

Elbow grease spray. Magic erasers might be handy.

Koh! It’s truly magic, cleaned my greasy oven door in 5 minutes.

Hot water and washing up liquid, scrub, rinse and dry.

I've tried the Fairy + vinegar and scrubbinv, but don't feel it really cut through the grease. Will look into the others though, thanks.

Elbow grease spray from Poundland - love it!

‘Sugar soap’, from hardware or DIY store. A million times more effective than fairy liquid on this sort of thing.

If you are using sugar soap, the powder is better than a spray, and you mix it in hot water. If you are washing paint, start from the top.
