Has anybody had any luck with removing a heat stain from a laminate worktop counter? Its not a burn just a round mark where a pan was put down. So bloody annoyed!!!

Is it scorched?

userxx · 10/10/2019 13:11

No, not burn but more of a heat mark. Will try and attach a photo.

Hmm nothing abrasive obviously, magic sponge, see if it lightens it?

Thats a good idea, I'm sure I've got one somewhere. Its so annoying because the metal bit in the photo is a trivet...... so why didnt he bloody well use it!!

I know it's gutting. I've a rust mark on wood worktop and it pisses me off every time I see it. I have to put the chopping board on it.

The best thing I've found is Elbow Grease, a yellow spray from home bargains or b and m. It gets stains off my quartz worktop that nothing else does .

Sleepingboy - I've tried elbow grease, didnt work this time, its great stuff though.

TheQueen - That's the thing, its going to piss me off everytime I look at it. Howdens still sell that worktop so if I cant live with it the boyfriend can pay for it to be replaced. :)
