Woolite delicate detergent

Hi I know this a random subject and place to ask but I’ve been searching everywhere for an answer! Has anyone tried the Woolite delicate detergent? It’s pink and liquid. Every time I use it my machine foams like crazy and I wondered if this is normal for this type of detergent. The dosing instructions are so confusing. It says a Full cap is 120ml but inside it says 37.5ml?? So a full cap is definitely not 120ml. I put a wool wash on and only used a little bit but the thing foamed so much! Worried how this is affecting my machine. Any help and advice would be great. How much am I supposed to use?

It's been a while since I used it so I can't remember the dosage. Have you got another laundry measuring cup you can use? Or use a measuring jug or even a tablespoon (15ml per tablespoon).

Delicates liquids do foam more, they will rely more on soap than typical laundry detergent. I've had bubbles come out the top detergent drawer before but won't do your machine any harm.

Hopefully you can sort the dosage out, or put in a bit less than you think and do some extra rinsing.

Personally I get on best with Persil Silk and Wool and the Waitrose clear one (not the one that looks like Woolite).

@Gjames27

I've just taken out my bottle of Woolite to check. I agree it is confusing. I've never actually read the instructions on this brand before. I normally just use a capful in my machine with two or three jumpers.

The cap is 60ml.

For a lightly soiled wash no matter what the water hardness, use one capful. Doing this will give you the promised 12 washes from one bottle.

For medium soiling, use a cap and a half; for heavy soiling, two capsules.

However never exceed two capsules.

Happy washing!

Capsules = caps

I put it straight in the machine and don't use any softener and it's always fine.

Thank you for your advice, really helpful :) despite the foam excess the clothes seem to have come out fine. I definitely think I’ll try a different brand that you mentioned as don’t think I’ll ever be a huge fan of Woolite

To be honest, I buy whichever brand is on offer. I came across Persil for £2.79 in Aldi this week in the 'middle' aisle.
