Help~~ Mouldy Washing Machine!

BingBo · 04/10/2019 23:31

We've been doing extension and stayed at a rented place where there's already a washing machine. So we brought ours there only for storage.

After 5 months renting , we now moved back in wanting to reconnect our washing machine before having discovered the washing machine has developed lots black mould inside and outside.

I feel disgusted but don't know what to do and if the machine is savable at all!

Can anyone help?

We had this after my mil left wet washing in our washing machine when on holiday..... scrub what you can out the tray and in the drum then put a load of bleach in the tray/drum and keep doing the hottest wash with bleach until clean. Mine took 2 and no more mould stains on our white clothes x

Thanks for the tips! I thought I made it clean before unplug, so didn't expect still so bad.

Will try with bleach!

Detol do a fantastic washing machine cleaner that is antibacterial. I normal pour a bit in each slot, wipe the inside of the machine, pour the rest in and use a 90 cycle.
