Hello, we are moving to a new house this weekend but all our old furniture and duvets etc are old and tired. We like to keep our house nice and so we have decided to buy new furniture and tv etc for the new house and basically start afresh. We have 5 children but no babies. Hit me with essentials to buy this weekend so we can actually live! So far I’m think cups, cutlery, plates, toothbrushes, mattresses, towels....

Does the new house have a shower installed? A plastic jug for rinsing hair?

Good bedding always make a house look nice!! You did not say if you were on a tight budget or if you had plenty spare cash!!. If money is tight I would say spend money on decorating good flooring and blinds. You should look on gumtree for furniture you can can some great bargains. A friend of mine bought a load of pine bedroom furniture then painted with chalk paint and but on Cristal Handel’s and it look like very expensive french bedroom furniture.

You can often can lovely leather suits and great tables and chairs, and nice bed frames, always buy new mattress.

Then buy nice new cushions ,throws ,bedding , towels.

If money is no problem just go online on Next and wayfair and buy everything lovely and new.

Do one room at a time.
