Hornets in house

I keep finding hornets in the house. Any ideas on hw they might be getting in? I do have the windows open a crack as the house gets damp so I need the ventilation, but they’d have to be pretty determined to crawl in there.

I remember years ago in my apartment during summer getting lots of wasps in through windows that were only open a crack. Some days I'd close the so does going out, no wasps in apartment and come home to 2/3 of them... anyway I used to think the were crawling in the crack of the window but a few months later one of the spotlights in my kitchen went and Dh got up to replace the bulb. When he pulled it out of the ceiling about 20 dead wasps fell onto the counter top. There had obviously been a nest in the ceiling and some how they were getting in through the vents or something.

You've probably got a nest somewhere.

Go outside and see if you can see them entering the house.
