Bosch logixx 8 urgent help please

I’m getting E:57 message on machine. I’m not sure how old it is. Probably 5 years. 5 adults in the house, one training seriously in martial arts so washing machine goes on at least once a day. Should I get a repair man to look or just replace?
Panicking at the thought of the thought of no machine for days and the washing piling up 😲😲😢

If you google the model there should be. User manual online which should tell you what each error code means. Might be fixable by someone in the house before spending money on a repair man.

It says either a lock problem which doesn’t sound too bad but seems to say that if resetting the machine doesn’t fix it, which it doesn’t, the control board needs to be replaced and that’s where I w wonder if it’s worth doing that to an oldish machine that has done a lot of washing

It's worth having a look at a local appliance repair shop we had an issue with our 8year old Bosch and I was all for chopping it in and cutting our losses DH found a local chap who would come out same day call out charge £30 plus repair ended up costing us £40 all in and machine is as good as new. See if you can get someone to look at it cheaply and if it can be repaired first would be my advice.

mommybear1 I think you’re right. I’ve also realized that I need someone to come and open it anyway since there’s a load of washing stuck inside it at the moment 😢

Update: washing machine man came. Unable to fix it but at least got the door open. Bought a new machine today, being delivered tomorrow.
