Hoodie gone hard

Hope someone has some ideas.

I accidentally put a fleecy new hoodie on at 40 degrees, instead of the cold wash that was recommended.

It has lost all its soft fleeciness. Is it possible to revive it somehow?

Tried rewashing it on a cold wash, to no effect ☹️

It was line dried.

TIA

Have you got a tumble dryer? Maybe wash again and dry in there unless it's actually wool or something.

Treasure with conditioner and tumble dry

Try this -
Fill a bucket with lukewarm water and add two tablespoons of fabric softener, baby shampoo, or hair conditioner. Let your sweater soak in the water mixture for at least 20 minutes but up to two hours. Then wash it again.

Thanks for the ideas. I'm going to try the hair conditioner idea. According to the label, I shouldn't tumble dry it, so am reluctant to try that unless as a last resort.

I will report back, thanks all

Well, that unfortunately made no difference Sad whatsoever. Back to the drawing board.

Fabric conditioner seems the simplest option
