Colour catchers/Changers?

New to this!!!and totally ITC ICT? hopeless... so no added bits not even a face!
Following a disaster this morning I decided to see if anybody has had the same problem
I put, hardly worn, good quality pink 'jeans' in wash with dylon colour catcher ... they came out all blotchy- light pink in random places - other areas not affected? Not really wearable for best now. On reflection a light blue pair did something similar but thought it was the quality of the trousers... now wondering. Is it the colour catcher, the colour dye in the trousers, a reaction with washing liquid.
Any ideas would be gratefully received.

Its the trousers not the colour catcher.

at how many degrees did you wash?

Jojobythesea · 22/09/2019 11:20

Missing the point but my friend is a plumber and says colour catchers are one of the worst culprits for wrecking washing machines.

SquirellTamer · 22/09/2019 11:23

My washing machine was broken by colour catchers. I now use them in a washing zipped net. They still work but now don't get caught up in the machine.

The colour catcher is just a piece of cloth, it can't do anything to your clothes.

If you washed in accordance with the instructions on the label take them back to the shop for a refund

I think neat washing liquid/powder has ruined them...

Nowt to do with the colour catcher for sure!

Oh goodness you are all stars- can't believe I got on here and it worked. You have solved my problem and answered my question.
This place is jolly good!
RandomMess .. methinks you have probably hit it bang on the head!!!
Coconuttelegraph- very reassuring thing to know.
I am now looking for my little bag as quite scarry learning about all the clog ups they make and expense!
So thank you all , you are brills- will be back with my next disaster- probably very shortly

I don't use colour catchers but I often have problems with washing blue clothes and I usually wash on a cool wash.
