How to remove toothpaste drool stains from carpet?

DP has an annoying habit of wandering around while using the electric toothbrush, and I have noticed quite a few pale whitish toothpastey marks on the carpet (beige wool berber loop cord type)as a result. How can I get them out - if you scrub the carpet it spoils the cord and looks fuzzy. Have tried Dyson Dysolve but it didn't work.

Any great recommendations for carpet cleaners that would do the job?

Thanks.

good tips here.
this is a really long page on toothpaste stains on carpets, it would be advisable to read the whole page.

Ooh thanks liliac - did a quick search but obviously my brain wasn't working at that time of night.

I'm really glad. I felt a bit awful giving you a page as long as that to read. Just glad it worked.
